The Greek Retreat LLC. - Terms and Conditions

By booking, taking any actions towards attending a retreat, and participating in The Greek Retreat LLC. organized itineraries (referred to as "the Retreat") including completing an online reservation/booking, paying for this retreat or by attending, you agree to the following terms and conditions as a binding contract between The Greek Retreat LLC. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.

1. Definitions

• Organizer: The Greek Retreat LLC., its owners, operators, agents, and representatives.
• Participant: The individual(s) attending and participating in the Retreat.
• Retreat: The retreat program offered by The Greek Retreat LLC., including accommodations (restrictions apply), meals (restrictions apply), activities (restrictions apply), and excursions (restrictions apply) as advertised on our website or other promotional materials. 

2. Booking and Payment

• Deposit:  A  non-refundable deposit of $750  is required at the time of booking to secure your place in the Athens/Nafplio retreat and $1500 for the Santorini retreat. 
• Final Payment: :  Full payment is due by April 15, 2025. If payment is not received by the due date.  The Organizer reserves the right to cancel your reservation and retain your deposit.
• Payment  Methods:  Payments can be made via [payment methods accepted, e.g., bank transfer, credit card, Venmo.
• Early Bird Offers: You will be provided with a coupon code to save towards an early bird offer.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

• Participant Cancellation:
  • Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the Retreat start date will be refunded minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the Retreat start date will not be refunded.
• Organizer Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the Organizer cancels the Retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural      disaster, insufficient enrollment), Participants will receive a full refund, including the deposit. The Organizer is not responsible for any      additional costs incurred by Participants (e.g., travel expenses).

4. Travel and Insurance

• Travel  Arrangements: Participants are solely responsible for arranging and covering the cost of  their travel to and from Greece, including airfare and any other related transportation costs to the Retreat location. The Organizer does not provide assistance with booking flights or other transportation. Participants are also solely responsible for transfers to/from hotels on arrival/departure dates. 
• Travel  Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellations, medical expenses, and personal liability, is strongly recommended. The Organizer is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or  losses that may occur during the Retreat.
• Travel to the Retreat Location: Travel arrangements, including airfare and transportation from the airport, are not included. This means that you will need to arrange and pay for your own flights and any third-party transportation services, such as taxis or private cars. A few weeks before your arrival, we will provide information on how to book a private car or taxi to the hotel in Athens. Please note that the cost of this transportation is your responsibility.

5. Health and Safety

• Medical  Conditions:  Participants are required to inform the Organizer of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. The Organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs, but Participants are responsible for their own well-being.
• Health   Certification: Participants must ensure they are in good physical and mental health to  participate in the activities offered. Any health issues that may affect participation should be discussed with the Organizer prior to booking.
• Emergency  Situations: In the event of an emergency, the Organizer reserves the right to make necessary decisions to ensure the safety of all Participants.

6. Retreat Participation

• Code of  Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and  responsible manner at all times during the Retreat. The Organizer reserves the right to remove any Participant who engages in inappropriate, disruptive, or illegal behavior without refund.
• Program Changes: The Organizer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Retreat program, including changes to schedules, locations, activities, or facilitators, in response to weather conditions, availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.    

7. Contact Information:  It is essential that we have your current and valid email address and phone number. Should your email address change at any point, please notify us right away. Our primary mode of communication is through email however, in case of an emergency, we will need an emergency contact as well along with the person (s) phone number.  Once your booking is confirmed and the deposit has been received, all future communications, including details about your stay and instructions on how to reach the retreat location, will be sent via email. Additionally, we request a mobile phone number so that we can reach you if necessary during your time at the retreat.

8. Liability Waiver

By attending the Retreat, Participants acknowledge and accept the following:

• Participation  in the Retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activities, outdoor excursions, and potential accidents.
• The Organizer shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or  inconvenience arising from participation in the Retreat.

Participants assume full responsibility for their own actions, safety, and well-being throughout the duration of the Retreat.

9. Release of Liability:  I agree to release The Greek Retreat LLC and all it's owners from any liability related to injuries, damages, claims, or causes of action resulting from its negligence. This includes any injuries or damages that may arise from participating in activities or exercises offered at the retreat or any other acts or instructions that may be deemed improper or negligent. I understand that if I receive any medical treatment, whether or not I consent to it, such treatment will be limited to first aid, and I waive any claims or causes of action related to the provision of this treatment, including claims based on negligence. This release does not apply to claims of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. I acknowledge that I have carefully reviewed this Waiver and Release and fully understand that it is a release of liability. I am relinquishing any right I may have to pursue legal action against The Greek Retreat LLC. for claims arising from The Greek Retreat’s negligence.

10. Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that participating in any activities at the retreat, including but not limited to yoga, meditation, exercise, hiking, excursions, :  swimming, and the use of any facilities, is done at my own risk. I understand that engaging in activities offered by the Greek Retreat involves certain risks, both known and unknown, including the possibility of personal injury. I fully accept these risks and agree to release The Greek Retreat, along with its affiliated companies, members, managers, officers, directors, instructors, employees, agents, and fellow participants, from any claims related to their own negligence and any responsibility to protect me from injury.

10. Use of Photography and Media

• The Organizer may take photographs or video recordings during the Retreat for promotional or marketing purposes. By attending the Retreat, Participants grant the Organizer permission to use these images for such purposes unless expressly stated otherwise in writing before the start of the Retreat.
• Participants are welcome to take their own photographs but agree not to use any images for commercial purposes without the Organizer's written consent.

11. Force Majeure

The Organizer will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure is due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, pandemic outbreaks, or governmental restrictions. 

12. Governing Law and Venue

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Florida, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Florida 

13. Compliance with Laws

I agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. 

14. Indemnification

I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold The Greek Retreat LLC. and it's owners harmless from any third-party losses, damages, claims, actions, suits, judgments, penalties, expenses, attorneys' fees, and costs arising from personal injury, loss of life, or property damage related to my use of the retreat premises or participation in any retreat activities.

Upon arrival at the retreat, you will be asked to sign a document with terms similar to those outlined here. If you would like to review a copy of this document before making payment, booking travel, or departing for the retreat, please contact us via email.

15. Severability

If any provision of this agreement is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement; Modification; Binding Effect

This document constitutes the entire agreement and supersedes any previous agreements, whether written or oral, including any promotional materials or advertisements. Any changes, modifications, or amendments to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties. This agreement will be binding on and benefit the successors, assigns, and legal representatives of the parties involved.

17. Privacy Policy

The Organizer respects your privacy and will not share or sell your personal information to any third parties. Your information will be used solely for the purpose of managing your booking and participation in the Retreat.

18. Agreement

By booking and attending The Greek Retreat LLC., you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to any of the terms, please refrain from participating in the Retreat.
